All About Chairman Lee Man-hee

Chairman Lee Man-Hee is the leader of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus. The church followers believe that he is the Promised Pastor according to the New Testament. Chairman Lee is working to fulfill the words as promised in the Bible. He believes that he is the instrument used by the heavens to do what is instructed by the words of God.

How Shincheonji Church of Jesus Began

In 1967, Chairman Lee became a member of the Tabernacle Temple. Then on March 14, 1984, Chairman Lee founded the Shincheonji Church of Jesus. It opened its first temple in June at Anyang, Gyeonggi Province. Since then, the membership grew and the Zion Christian Mission Center in Seoul was established in 1990. Then in 1995, the members were divided into Twelve Tribes.

In 2014, the Shincheonji Church of Jesus has an estimated number of members of over 120,000. In 2020, the estimated number of membership is already at 200,000. In fact, the Shincheonji was once one of the fastest-growing religious sects in South Korea.

All About the 12 Tribes of Shincheonji

As mentioned, the congregation in South Korea was divided into 12 tribes. Simply because Shincheonju is a place that is promised according to the Bible. The number follows the words in the Bible. For example, in the Old Testament, the chosen were 12 sons of Jacob. Also, there were 12 disciples who helped Jesus establish Christianity. And according to Revelation 7, 12 tribes will be created and sealed in todays’ time.

The Shincheonji Church of Jesus Doctrine

A lot of people think that this church is a doomsday cult, but in reality, it’s not. The group follows Chairman Lee or the Promised Pastor. The followers believe that Chairman Lee has the spirit of Jesus Christ and also that the Bible is written in metaphors and the Chairman is the only one who can decipher it. And according to their belief, the Chairman will use 144,000 individuals to testify and this “Multitude of White” is the only one who will go to heaven with him on the Day of Judgment.

The congregations’ faith and loyalty can surely make a church and religion successful. But of course, this will not be possible without a determined leader. And Shincheonji Church of Jesus is lucky because Chairman Lee continues to teach and inspire the church followers to be faithful. Though the Shincheonji Church of Jesus has been through a lot especially during this coronavirus pandemic, they managed to rise above all these challenges.
